The Delta Kappa Psi Alumnae Executive Council established the Making a Difference Outstanding Community Service Award in January 2020 to honor a current Initiated Member of Delta (1) who is making a significant contribution to her community through volunteering her time and talent and (2) whose dedication serves as a role model for her peers.

    Sara Bond, Class of 2021

Congratulations to Sara Bond, Delta’s first recipient of the Making a Difference Outstanding Community Service Award!

Sara was chosen by the Committee in recognition of her having served as a Big Buddies mentor since the Fall of 2017 during which she amassed approximately 200 hours of service to that program. While studying abroad in Salzburg, Austria in the Fall of 2019, she also participated in several short-term community service opportunities including Bosnia Buddies.

Sara joined Delta in the Spring of 2019 when she was recognized as having the most community service hours in the organization that semester. She has served on the Spring Projects Committee multiple times, has taken a Little Sis, and will serve as Vice President this Fall.

Sara hails from Corona, CA and is majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Psychology.
